10:00 – “Green tech” like solar panels, electric cars, and wind turbines have been presented as solutions to climate change, but according to a new documentary these technologies often add to the problem. “Bright Green Lies” is set to premier on Earth Day Thursday, and aims to pull back the curtain to reveal the truth about feel-good technology that presents itself as climate-friendly. Julia Barnes directed the documentary, and she joins Gormley to tell us about the project.

12:00 – Black bears are starting to emerge from hibernation. The Ministry of Environment is reminding people to be bear aware. Bears can be found in many areas of the province. They are ruled by their stomachs and are intelligent animals. If they cannot find food, they will leave the area. But, when bears start to associate food with humans they become habituated, a nuisance, and a public safety concern. Wildlife Biologist Matthew Tokaruk joins Gormley to discuss what you can do to be bear smart.
