Well, well, well. It looks like Major League Baseball has finally realized what the best practice is for playing during a pandemic.
A bubble city or cities.
Rumblings are starting to come out that MLB will attempt to organize bubble cities for the playoffs come the fall after 29 games have already been postponed due to outbreaks within a handful of teams.
Meanwhile, in the NHL and NBA bubbles, both leagues have reported zero positive tests with thousands of tests being administered and there haven’t been any hiccups due to COVID in their bubbles.
Actually, it has been quite unbelievable, as many believed these bubbles were going to burst. But give credit to the players and leagues for staying diligent.
So of course, baseball would want to duplicate a system that clearly works, if it’s able to get there. It’ll need these outbreaks to stop to even make it to the playoffs.
Then there is the NFL: 56 positive tests in the first few days of training camps and a month left until kickoff. It appears no sport is safe … unless, of course, you’re in a bubble.
