Early Monday morning, Saskatoon fire crews were called to a report of a garage on fire in the 1200 block of Avenue H North.
When they arrived, the garage was fully involved in fire. They were able to get it under control in under 10 minutes.
A search of the garage confirmed there weren’t any occupants and no injuries were reported.
A fire investigator has determined the cause of the fire to be incendiary. Damage is estimated at $10,000.
On Sunday night, fire crews prevented a sign from falling off a downtown office building. The First Nations Bank of Canada sign had come loose and a piece was dangling over the sidewalk below.
On Saturday night, firefighters dealt with a big blaze in Hampton Village that destroyed two homes. The damage has been estimated at $1 million.
Also on Saturday fire crews were called to a shed fire in the 100 block of Avenue S South in the early morning, an early morning fire in the 300 block of Avenue S South where the occupant of the home wouldn’t leave and police had to be called, and a fire at a boarded-up home in the 1900 block of 22nd Street West in the afternoon.
There weren’t any injuries reported in any of these incidents.
