Saskatoon firefighters do more than just fight fires. They proved that Sunday evening when they prevented a sign from falling off a downtown office building.
Fire crews were called around 8 p.m. to the First Nations Bank on Fourth Avenue.
The bank’s back lit sign had come loose and a piece was dangling dangerously over the sidewalk below.
Firefighters repelled off the roof and down the side of the 10-storey building to remove part of the sign and secure a another piece.
Traffic restrictions were lifted before 10 p.m..
