Saskatoon fire crews extinguished a blaze at a boarded-up home in Pleasant Hill on Sunday.
The Saskatoon Fire Department received a report of heavy black smoke exiting the back of the vacant home just before 11 a.m. on the 400 block of Ave. S South.
Crews initiated a transitional attack on the structure, before entering the building.
After they shut off the gas supply to the structure, a small fire was found and quickly extinguished.
No one was found inside the structure, and there were no injuries to civilian or fire personnel.
Saskatoon Fire says the fire has been deemed ‘incendiary,’ and damaged both the home and a neighbouring vacant property.
The combined damage is estimated at $10,000.
