8:30 – US President Donald Trump was impeached by Congress on Wednesday for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, facing accusations that he withheld $400M in military aid to Ukraine which had already been allocated by Congress, until Ukraine looked for potentially-damaging material on Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden. While many are celebrating the president’s impeachment, including Democratic Speaker Nancy Pelosi, others are saying it was a partisan process led by Democrats who have called for Trump’s impeachment since before he even assumed office. 11:00 – Rider legend George Reed has struggled with mobility issues in his retirement, and a Regina man has taken it upon himself to help the 80-year-old former running back by starting a GoFundMe with the goal of raising $50,000 for medical equipment and treatment. Eric Johnson says he sees Reed several times each week, and hates watching him struggle after two back surgeries which required months of rehabilitation. Reed says the support means a lot, and in just two weeks the fundraiser is now sitting at more than $21,000. Johnson joins Gormley to talk about the fundraiser.
