The Government of Saskatchewan is looking to change The Tobacco Control Act to deal with vaping in the province.
“The Government of Saskatchewan takes the health of our citizens very seriously and this legislation is an important step in protecting Saskatchewan youth in particular from the harms of vaping products,” Health Minister Jim Reiter said in a media release Tuesday. “If you don’t smoke there is no need to vape.”
The proposed amendments will bring vaping into line with existing Saskatchewan tobacco legislation restrictions.
According to the government, the amendments will:
