8:30 – Five people resigned from the Huskie Athletics board last week in frustration, saying the board didn’t have enough influence over the direction of Huskie Athletics at the U of S and comparing the resignations to a no-confidence vote. StarPhoenix Sports Editor Kevin Mitchell broke the story yesterday, and he joins John to discuss the departures and where this leaves the U of S sports programs.

10:00 – Regina resident Daniel Nikoi, who has lived in Canada for 11 years as a permanent resident originally from Ghana, was charged $119 for a residency renewal form from a scam website designed to look like an official Government of Canada page. After submitting the form to Immigration Canada, he discovered that the website he had paid was not affiliated with the government in any way, and the actual fee is only $50. He’s been unable to get his money back because the scam website makes it very difficult to get in contact, and says he’s worried these scam sites are raking in money from unsuspecting immigrants. Nikoi joins John now to discuss his experience.

12:00 – A Saskatchewan summer tradition gets underway this week as Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan premiers this year’s shows; As You Like It and The Comedy of Errors. Preview shows start tonight with the official openings Friday and Saturday, and the shows run until Aug. 18. Joshua Beaudry, a Saskatoon-based director and long-time performer with Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan, is directing The Comedy of Errors, which he’s set in a trailer park in modern day Florida to give the show a unique twist. Beaudry joins John now to discuss the show.
