The following are the hours of City of Saskatoon services and facilities for Monday, Feb. 18:
City hall will be closed.
Pay parking stations will not require payment on Feb. 18. Drivers are still required to park their vehicles within area time limits posted.
The municipal impound lot will not be releasing vehicles to the public.
Saskatoon Public Library (all locations) will be closed.
Saskatoon landfill will be open with regular hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Garbage and recycling collection will take place as scheduled.
The Saskatoon civic conservatory will be closed.
Remai Modern will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and it’s Rawlco Radio Free Admission Day.
Bus schedule
Saskatoon Transit will run with holiday service.
Access Transit will also run with holiday service, and trips must be booked in advance as per normal procedures between 8:15 a.m. to 11 p.m. Customers are reminded subscriptions do not apply on statutory holidays.
Transit Customer Service Centre will be closed for walk-in customers, but phone lines will be available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Recreation and community
The Cameco Family Day Skating Party goes from noon until 4 p.m. at the Cameco Meewasin Skating Rink at Nutrien Plaza.
The Clarence Downey Speed Skating Oval will be wrapping up for the season Monday. It’s closing earlier than in past years to allow for construction improvements to start on the Gordie Howe Sports Complex.
Bring the whole family down for a fun and free Family Day Skate from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday at the Clarence Downey Speed Skating Oval at 11th Street and Avenue R South.
The day will feature skating lessons, free skating, and other winter activities. There will also be free skating at the Cosmo Civic Centre Arena from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
You do not need speed skates to enjoy skating at the Oval; however, bring your own skates and safety gear as rentals are not available at either site.
If the temperature reaches -25 C or below with the wind chill, or is warmer than -5˚C, the outdoor event will be cancelled and all participants should go to the indoor skate at Cosmo Civic Centre.
There will also be free activities for kids in the Cosmo Civic Centre gym with teepee teachings and Indigenous hand games presented by Saskatoon Indian & Métis Friendship Centre.
