12:00 – The Macdonald-Laurier institute has raised concerns about the potential involvement of Chinese telecom giant Huawei in Canada’s 5G wireless networks. A recent piece co-authored by Dr. Brian Lee Crowley says Huawei is “not a normal telecom company,” as they were founded by a former officer of China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) and the nation has a long history of cyberespionage. Crowley joins John now to talk more about his concerns when it comes to Huawei.
