Saskatoon Transit taps student artwork for city bus

Some Saskatoon youngsters will get see their creations featured on a city bus through the summer.
Saskatoon Transit announced the winners Monday of its first-ever Student Art Contest.
The contest was open to all Grade 7 and Grade 3 students in the city, with 130 entries submitted from 19 schools.
Drawings by a trio of Grade 7 students from Sylvia Fedorul School and a Grade 3 class from College Park were selected, with Rawlco Transit producing and installing copies that will adorn a city bus through the months of July and August.
The contest was meant to help promote bus ridership. Transit officials said they hope to make it an annual event.
