An industrial fire at Loraas Recycle kept firefighters busy in north Saskatoon Monday afternoon.
Crews arrived shortly after 1 p.m. to discover heavy smoke pouring from an overhead door at 1902 1st Avenue North.
The fire was burning cardboard and machinery, making the blaze “very difficult to extinguish” according to a Saskatoon Fire statement news release.
A sprinkler system was activated by the fire, containing the blaze to one area of the building.
The fire was brought under control within two hours.
Saskatoon Fire said no damage estimate was available at the time of their release.
