Saskatoon police and fire crews are searching the South Saskatchewan River after reports Thursday night a man had landed in the river from the Broadway Bridge.
According to a police release, at 5:43 p.m. two people on the river’s shoreline reported a person, that looked like a man, had fallen into the water from the bridge.
Officers began to look from the shoreline and called in fire rescue crews to conduct a search on the water.
The police air support unit is also assisting with the search.
In an update around 7 p.m. police said the identity of the person remains unknown.
