Snowfall warning continues for parts of central Sask.

The clean-up is underway after the latest blast of winter to hit Saskatoon and area.

According to Environment Canada, the city has received about 12 centimeters or just under 5-inches since Friday afternoon.

A snowfall warning for Saskatoon was cancelled Saturday morning, but it remains in effect for east-central areas of the province.

According to Environment Canada, moderate to heavy snow will spread into the region Friday evening and continue east into western Manitoba through the night.

Between 10 and 15 centimetres – or four to six inches – of snowfall is expected by the time conditions begin to ease Saturday afternoon.

Higher amounts of snow may accumulate in localized areas where terrain varies.
Drivers are reminded to take note of changing road conditions and warned to prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.

Visibility may also be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. If this happens while driving, people are told to slow down, watch for taillights ahead and be prepared to stop.
