Anthrax is surfacing in Saskatchewan again. A second ranch this week has confirmed cases. The Canadian Food Inspection says seven bison in the Rural Municipality of Paddockwood have tested positive for the bacteria. Earlier this week, a single case was discovered in a cow in the RM of Ponass Lake. And in May, 13 cattle were destroyed in the RM of King George. The CFIA is on site implementing standard disease control measures. In 2006, an outbreak of anthrax killed over 800 animals.

Lee Edwards with the United Steelworkers Union says the committee is meeting Friday morning and will be discussing strategy. She says options include an overtime ban, having study sessions or even picket lines. Edwards says ammunition for them is a second quarter report from PCS Thursday showing record earnings of $905 million.
Walk For Missing Aboriginals Nearing An End
to arrive in Saskatoon FridayWalk For Missing Sisters is making it's way to Saskatoon. It started Monday at Onion Lake near Lloydminster and arrives in Saskatoon Friday. Pauline Muskego walks for her daughter Dalene Bossey -- who disappeared in Saskatoon four years ago.Muskego says this walk is all about raising awareness of all missing aboriginal women, children and men in Saskatchewan and Canada. The Walk arrives at Credit Union Centre, then to City Hall and also an event at the University of Saskatchewan.

Summer Storms Continue
Weather watches for the south have now ended after being in effect all afternoon.Another day of storm watches for a large chunk of Southern and East Central Saskatchewan.
All of this afternoon's severe thunderstorm watches have now ended.
Watches were in effect for most of southern Saskatchewan. Funnel clouds were spotted around Moose Jaw in the Spring Valley/Clayview area. A tornado did touch down, but it was in an open field, and there was no damage.

Dutch Elm Disease Strikes Wascana Centre
Tree lost as park affected for first timeFor the first time ever, Dutch Elm Disease has struck in Regina's Wascana Park.
A tree was chopped down and destroyed to prevent spreading.
Before the chainsaw made it's mark, the infected tree clearly looked in trouble compared those standing along side it with shedded leaves and withered branches.
With it now gone, Wascana Centre Authority's Leon Brin mainatins the focus is protecting the other elms, which are now being monitord and tested.
Saskatchewan First Nations Team Up With Taiwan
Taiwan companies are investing in Saskatchewan oil sands exploration.Saskatchewan's First Nations community is tapping into the province's oil sands market, with help from Taiwan.
Chiefs from the Beardy's, Okemasis, Flying Dust, Witchekan and Cowessess First Nations visited Taiwan last week to find oil sands investors.
They were successful, and ended up signing memorandums of understanding with the Taiwan Sugar Corporation, the Chinese Petroleum Corporation, and the Thao Tribe.
Huge Storm Watch Area On Alert
Environment Canada warns of hailMuch of central and southern Saskatchewan is back on alert for severe weather again today.
A lot of the trouble zone falls within an area with borders extending from south of Saskatoon to the U.S. border and east to the winnipeg border, as well as the Shaunavon, Maple Creek, Swift Current, Herbert, and Outlook areas.
Severe weather specialist Bob Cormier believes the rain and lightning of other stoms that struck the province this week won't be the worst part.
