The officer was immediately attended to on-scene by a member of the public, as well as the Meota and District Volunteer Fire Department, RM of North Battleford Volunteer Fire Department, EMS and Battlefords RCMP officers, the release said.
He was then taken by ambulance to Saskatoon for treatment of his serious, non-life-threatening injuries, RCMP added.
“Our detachment and all the units and employees who live and work in the Battlefords area are like family. We’ll continue to lean on each other in the days and weeks ahead as the injured member navigates recovery,” said Battlefords Detachment Commander Ryan How in the release.
