A second laser strike helped members of the Air Support Unit determine that the laser was coming from: a balcony in the 500 block of Eastlake Avenue, which is right near Rotary Park.
Ground patrol arrived in the area and located and arrested the two suspects. Inside the apartment, officers found the green laser.
The two men, ages 36 and 16, have been charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer and mischief causing danger to life.
The 36-year-old man was also found to be breaching court-ordered conditions.
Saskatoon Police said pointing a laser towards an aircraft is extremely dangerous as it illuminates the aircraft’s interior and can cause temporary vision loss for the pilot(s).
