Two people were arrested in Martensville earlier this month following a drug trafficking investigation.
On Aug. 7, Saskatchewan RCMP officers with the Prince Albert Crime Reduction Team arrested two people in a parking lot in Martensville—just north of Saskatoon—where potential illicit drugs—destined for the Spiritwood area—were found.

While searching the vehicle, officers located and seized approximately 891 grams of cocaine, 629 grams of methamphetamine, 55 grams of crack cocaine, $7,990 in cash, a taser, an expandable baton and other drug trafficking items.
A 45-year-old woman from Saskatoon and a 55-year-old man from Pelican Lake First Nation were given a handful of charges, including drug possession for trafficking and possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes.
The pair made their first court appearance in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Aug. 11.
