A person was rescued from a pier under the Broadway Bridge Thursday morning.
According to the Saskatoon Fire Department Water Rescue Team, it observed someone in the water holding onto a pier just after 9 a.m.
Crews immediately went into action.

One water rescue firefighter helped the person in the water, securing them with a floatation device.
Three more water rescue firefighters arrived in a rescue boat.
“Firefighter Paramedics assessed a patient who required medical attention,” it said in a statement.
The person was taken to shore and transferred to an ambulance.
The scene has since been turned over to police for further investigation.
