A 31-year-old man is wanted by police after a group of people allegedly assaulted a victim at a home in Deschambault Lake in northeastern Saskatchewan.
According to the RCMP, officers got a report on Friday about the alleged assault.

“Investigation determined a victim was assaulted by a group of individuals, who did not let them leave the residence,” the Mounties said in a statement issued on Wednesday.
“The victim was later able to escape. They were treated at the hospital for injuries described as non-life-threatening in nature.”
Six people were arrested in Deschambault Lake on Monday in connection with the alleged assault, the RCMP said. They’re each facing charges of assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, robbery with violence and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
On Wednesday, police said two men – 31-year-old Earl Ballantyne and 19-year-old Tyler Ballantyne – were wanted in connection with the alleged attack. They’re facing the same list of charges, along with an additional charge of possession of a firearm without a licence for Earl Ballantyne, and police asked the public to report any sightings of them.
On Thursday, the RCMP said Tyler Ballantyne was arrested in Deschambault Lake, but Earl Ballantyne is still wanted.
“Earl Ballantyne is described as approximately 5’8” with a medium build. He has black hair and brown eyes,” the RCMP said.
Anyone who spots Earl Ballantyne was asked not to approach him, and to report the sighting to the RCMP or make an anonymous report through Crime Stoppers.
