Two early morning stabbings in Saskatoon were keeping Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) investigators busy on Friday.
SPS said in a news release on July 25 that officers were called to the 200 block of 21st Street East in downtown Saskatoon around 1:30 a.m. after receiving a report of an injured person.

Police said the found a man suffering from what they believed was a life-threatening stab wound and he was taken to hospital.
Continued investigation determined that the stabbing had occurred on a path near a wooden gazebo along Spadina Crescent East, SPS said, and that the suspect was believed to be not known by the victim.
SPS said they were unable to located the suspect and investigations were continuing.
In a separate July 25 news release, SPS said they were called to the 300 block of Avenue J South in the Riversdale neighbourhood around 4 am after being called to a home for “an unknown problem.”
Police said officers found a man at the home with two stab wounds, who was then taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
SPS said their investigation determoned that the man had been sitting on a bench in the 1100 block of 20th Street West when he was approached from behind and stabbed. They said they did not know if the suspect knew the victim.

Woman has jewellery snatched, police say
Police are also investigating following a robbery yesterday in the Silverwood Heights neighbourhood where they a woman has jewellery she was wearing snatched.
SPS said in a news release on July 25 that officers were called around 11:45 a.m. on July 24 to a home in the 100 block of Roborecki Crescent.
Police said they were told that a woman had been in her front yard when a vehicle stopped in front of her house and a man and woman got out.
The pair then approached the woman, police said, and while they were speaking to her, suddenly grabbed the jewellery she was wearing and fled in a black SUV with an Alberta licence plate.
