Environment Canada issued a tornado warning just before 7 p.m. on Sunday for the Rural Municipality of Blucher, including the communities of Allan, Clavet, Bradwell and Elstow.
A photo posted to the Facebook page Saskatchewan Storm Reports showed a tornado touching down northwest of Allan on July 20 at 6:43 p.m.
The weather agency described the situation as “dangerous and potentially life-threatening.” The warning urged those in the area to take shelter immediately if swirling or flying debris was spotted.

Environment Canada advises anyone in mobile homes, vehicles, tents or trailers to seek sturdier protection immediately when tornado warnings are in place. If possible, move to a well-built structure. If no shelter is available, lie flat in a low-lying area and shield your head to guard against flying debris.
The severe thunderstorm Sunday night also came with the risk of hail.
“Hail can damage property, break windows, dent vehicles and cause serious injury, Environment Canada says.
It also says that very strong wind gusts can damage buildings, down trees and blow large vehicles off the road.
During storm alerts heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Water-related activities may be unsafe due to violent and sudden gusts of wind over bodies of water.
While the odds of getting struck by lightning are less than one in a million, lightning is also a danger.
The Government of Canada says that there are an average of between two to three lightning-related deaths and 80 lightning-related injuries across the country every year. Most injuries and fatalities occur between June and August, and most fatalities were people in open areas or taking shelter under a tree.”
No confirmed touch downs
Environment Canada’s Crawford Luke said it is still trying to determine if tornadoes touched down or caused damage.
“Officially nothing is confirmed at the moment,” he said. “Everything is under investigation.”
A large funnel cloud was seen reaching down to the ground near Allan on Sunday.
“We’ve seen some pretty good-looking photos on social media,” Luke said. “We are just looking to get more details on exactly where it was and if it caused any damage.”
The weather office is looking into a report of a tornado near Cadillac on Saturday.
SaskAlert had issued a tornado warning in the RM of Francis on Sunday, but Luke said the weather office had not received any reports of it yet.
