A 16-year-old girl was allegedly robbed and stabbed in broad daylight while she was walking in a park in Saskatoon’s Fairhaven neighbourhood.
According to the Saskatoon Police Service, officers were called to the 400 block of Pendygrasse Road at around 2 p.m. on Saturday.

“A 16 year old girl reported that she had been walking in a nearby park when she was approached by a woman who demanded her cell phone and then stabbed her,” the police force explained in a statement.
“A witness was able to direct officers to the suspect, who was still in the park. She was arrested without incident.”
The teen victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment, police said, though her injuries were not believed to be life threatening.
The 20-year-old woman who was arrested is now facing charges of robbery, assault with a weapon and possession of a dangerous weapon.
Two boys charged after one allegedly points toy gun at worker
Two 16-year-old boys are facing charges after allegedly pointing a cap gun at a gas station worker after getting into an argument on Sunday afternoon.
According to police, officers were called to the gas station on Baltzan Boulevard, in Saskatoon’s Evergreen neighbourhood, at around 1:30 p.m.
“A staff member at the business reported that three males entered the building and a verbal altercation took place,” police said in a statement.
“One of the male suspects then produced a gun and pointed at the staff member before all three fled the scene.”
Officers caught up with the three suspects close to the gas station, police said.
One of them was found to be carrying an expandable baton, police said. He’s now facing a charge of possession of a weapon, and was released ahead of a pending court appearance.
“The second male was found to be in possession of what is now known to be a cap gun,” police said.
The second teen is now facing charges of assault with a weapon and mischief under $5,000. He was also released from custody “with a notice to appear in provincial court,” police said.
