The Regina Police Service’s Major Crimes Unit later took charge of the investigation, after officers determined that the case “originated within the city of Regina.”
On Thursday, police announced that 24-year-old Britain Volk was facing a charge of first-degree murder in connection with Lunan’s death.
He’s scheduled to appear in provincial court on Thursday morning.
