Meteorologist Dan Fulton it is “highly probable” that the twister near Coleville touched down.
“We’re just going to wait until we have one more person take a look at it, but I’ve had a look at the pictures and it looks like it’s probably on the ground,” Fulton said.
“There were no reports of damage or anything.”
Fulton said another tornado was reported near Reward.
“That one we have to look into a bit more,” he said.
Two more tornadoes were reported on Saturday north of Saskatoon, including the confirmed tornado near Hepburn and another near Alvena.
Fulton said storms were moving through parts of the province north of Saskatoon on Saturday, leading to reports of golf ball-sized hail, flooding and toppled trees.
“(It was) a pretty powerful storm that went north of Saskatoon on Saturday, that’s for sure,” the meteorologist said.
“There’s reports of about three-inch diameter trees snapped associated with that, although that doesn’t seem like it would be associated with the potential tornado,” he said.
Despite the large hailstones, Fulton said there were no reports of damage.
“Golf ball (hail) is kind of on the lower end of doing damage. I suppose if you got enough of it you could get some damage, but no reports of damage from the hail,” he said.
