The Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) said two men are still on the run after a jewelry store inside the city’s Centre Mall was robbed yesterday.
According to SPS, a call to their department came in just before 2 p.m. about two men who walked into the Jewels store wearing masks, carrying bags and axes.
Inside the store, police claimed the two men smashed multiple display cases and stole several items before fleeing the area.

In a statement, the Centre Mall confirmed a robbery did happen at its facility and noted that police got there shortly after they were called.
The mall added that it is working with the police as they continue to investigate.
Despite the robbery on Wednesday, the Centre Mall said it’s continuing to operate under its regular business hours.
Jewels inside the Centre Mall did not want to comment on the incident when asked about it.
So far, Saskatoon Police have not given any visual description of the suspects or their names. There is also no information on how they were able to get away or where their whereabouts could be.
Police are turning to the public to try and learn more about where the two could be.

The Centre Mall is Saskatchewan’s largest one-level shopping centre and is located just off Circle Drive and 8th Street.
The mall is home to over 100 stores and various major electronic stores, clothing stores and a Cineplex movie theatre.
