The Saskatchewan RCMP is warning people that an AI-generated sketch circulating on social media is inaccurate.
RCMP said in a news release on May 24 that the sketch has been associated with a child luring investigation does not match the descriptors that were provided to police by witnesses and are requesting it not be shared as it’s inaccurate.

RCMP released a sketch on May 16 asking the public for help identifying a man who allegedly lured and exposed himself to a young child near Saskatoon on May 9. That sketch is at the top of this story.
According to a news release on May 13, officers were called to a business off Highway 762 south of Saskatoon at around 12:30 p.m. and their investigation determined a man lured a child under the age of 6 to an isolated area of the business property.
Police said the child did not know the man, who then exposed himself, adding that the interaction was interrupted by the child’s family.
RCMP said the man fled into a nearby treed area and the child was not physically injured. A search with police dogs failed to find the suspect.
RCMP said the man is described as approximately 6-foot with a medium build, light complexion, medium-length curly blond hair and clean shaven. He also has spaces between his teeth, police added.
He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, gray mirrored sunglasses, a blue shirt, blue jeans and black shoes, police said.
The Saskatchewan RCMP’s General Investigation Section continues to investigate.
