Officers with the Saskatoon Police Service’s Serious Assault Unit are investigating a stabbing on 22nd Street West, in the city’s Mount Royal neighbourhood.
According to police, officers received a report of an injured person at around 11 p.m. on Tuesday. When the officers arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering from a stab wound, though his injuries were not believed to be life threatening.

“Further investigation found that the victim was walking in the area when he was confronted by two men and stabbed; the suspects then fled the area,” the police force explained in a statement.
“It is unknown if the suspects and victim knew one another.”
Woman charged after allegedly stabbing two men
A 28-year-old woman is facing several charges after allegedly stabbing two men and assaulting a third man.
According to police, officers were called to the 400 block of Sylvian Crescent at around 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
“Upon arrival officers discovered a 35-year-old man and a 36-year-old man had both been stabbed by a 28-year-old woman,” the Saskatoon Police Service explained in a statement.
“The victims were transported to hospital with serious injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.”
Police said the woman also assaulted a 78-year-old man and smashed a window at a neighbouring home.
“SPS officers deployed a conducted energy weapon (CEW) successfully and the suspect was arrested,” police noted.
The woman is now facing two charges of aggravated assault, along with additional charges of assault and mischief.
“The suspect and aggravated assault victims are believed to be known to each other,” police said.
Man facing charges after allegedly assaulting police officer, guard
Officers were called to a shopping mall on First Avenue South just after 4 p.m. on Tuesday after getting a report of an assault.
“Further investigation determined that the mall’s security had detained a man for spitting in the face of one of their guards,” police said in a statement. “The man was also believed to be under the influence of an intoxicant.”
As he was being transferred into police custody, the man allegedly kicked a police officer in the stomach. The officer in question was not seriously hurt, the police force noted.
The 53-year-old man is now facing charges of assault and assaulting a police officer.
Man arrested after allegedly falling asleep in vehicle with stolen plate
Officers were called to an alley on Marlborough Crescent just before 10 a.m. on Tuesday for a report of a suspicious vehicle.
When they arrived, police said the officers discovered the vehicle’s plate was stolen, and two people were sleeping inside.
“As a result, one of the occupants, a 43-year-old man, was charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000 and failure to comply with court-imposed conditions,” the police service said.
“The other occupant was released without charges.”
Woman arrested following assault at a mall, spat on and bit an officer
Police were called to a mall in the 200 block of 1st Avenue South at around noon Wednesday for a reported assault.
When officers arrived, they learned a woman was paying for merchandise at a business in the mall when she was approached by another woman and was physically assaulted.
The suspect and victim were not known to each other.
The suspect fled the business but was caught by mall security. She was transferred into the custody of SPS, where officers say she continued to be uncooperative.
At SPS Detention, the woman spat on and bit an officer, but they were not seriously hurt.
