Environment Canada initially confirmed the tornado on Sunday at 11:16 a.m. after receiving a report of it and a photo, but retracted that confirmation in an update on June 6.
“Our meteorologists received additional data that contradicted the original report,” Environment Canada said in an emailed statement.
