The Saskatchewan Roughriders have announced the theme nights for the 2025 season.
The CFL club is holding a few that have become staples – such as the Lights Out game and country night – but a few new ideas have come from the team. The list includes a Christmas in July game, and this year will mark the Riders’ 60th Labour Day Classic.

Saskatchewan announced its list of games on Friday, which was also the first day single-game tickets went on sale. Season tickets are still available for purchase and with the return of Flex Packs, fans can choose which theme nights they would like to attend. The Flex Packs come with a minimum of 10 online vouchers, and can be used in endless combinations throughout the season.
Family Packs return for 2025, offering tickets for two adults and two youths (ages 3-15) for $24.75 plus tax per family member. Youth pricing is also back, with youth tickets selling for half the price of adult tickets, excluding gold and premium seating.
Here’s the list of the 2025 theme nights:
Community Culture Night – May 30 vs. Winnipeg Blue Bombers (preseason)
According to the club, “Community Culture Night, presented by First Nations University of Canada, will shine a light on the people, traditions, and cultures that make Rider Nation unique. Beginning with the Coors Light Party in the Park, various displays and a traditional teepee will be available for fans to view as part of the pre-game festivities.”
Kickoff in the Heartland – June 5 vs. Ottawa Redblacks
The Riders’ home opener this year will bring fans together for the first presentation of the Pepsi Concert Series and anyone with a game ticket gets free admission to Mosaic Festival as well.
kisiskâciwan Game – June 28 vs. B.C. Lions
The annual kisiskâciwan game is back, honouring Indigenous culture and contributions. During the game, the Riders will have an Indigenous logo featured on their helmets.
Back 40 Bash: Rooted in the West – July 11 vs. Calgary Stampeders
The Riders are bringing the country vibes back to Mosaic Stadium in this game. The club said it’s “a summer night made for boots, buckles, and Rider Pride. It’s set to be a real country cook-out with serious football action — plus a live performance as part of the Pepsi Summer Concert Series to keep the party going long after kickoff.”
Christmas in July – July 25 vs. Edmonton Elks
This year, the Riders are hosting a Christmas in July game. Not many details were shared, but the organization said it will include the spirit of giving and will bring a “chill to a warm prairie night.”
Riderland – Family Day – August 16 vs. Hamilton Tiger-Cats
The Riders will look to include a lot of family-friendly fun at their Family Day game.
“Mosaic Stadium will be bouncin’ like an inflatable castle when we host Jr. Rider Cheer… and a great afternoon of football!” the team said in a release. “Join us for the Family Day Game and let the young — and young at heart — fill the stands. To top it off: be part of the action when fans are invited to take the field post-game!”
60th Labour Day Classic: The Diamond Legacy – August 31 vs. Winnipeg
The Riders are announcing a celebration for their 60th Labour Day Classic this year against Winnipeg. The Riders do not include the 1952 game that took place in Winnipeg in their count.
The Riders are calling it a “Diamond Legacy,” which celebrates six decades of the rivals’ annual showdown. It will also be the final game for the concert series this year.
Legends Night – September 13 vs. Montreal Alouettes
On legends night, the club will celebrate legends from on the field and off. The game will honour the 2025 Plaza of Honour inductees and the legacy of Rider football in the province.
Lights Out: Land of the Living Skies – October 10 vs. Toronto Argonauts
The annual Lights Out game will return to Mosaic Stadium this year. The club will once again invite fans to help create a powerful display during the pregame and halftime portions. The club haven’t said if this game will see the team wear their new obsidian green jerseys, which were introduced last season.
Welcome to Fabulous Riderville – October 25 vs. B.C.
During the final regular-season game for the team, the club is going to end things off with a Vegas-style showcase. The club said the night will include “Dazzling lights, big prizes, and even bigger memories.” Fans can buy a pink toque to help support Cameco Riders Touchdown for Dreams program at the game.
