Health care and housing are top of mind for Saskatchewan seniors ahead of the provincial election this month.
On Tuesday, 650 CKOM talked to Saskatoon seniors at TCU place about the changes they want to see in their province.
For Sheri Hathaway, it’s particularly in the health care and education sectors.

“It’s going to be interesting, I hope I see some changes in the future,” she said, adding that one solution would be to add more health care professionals to the province.
Hathaway wants to see another political party take the reins, and thinks change would be beneficial for the province.
Hathaway said she doesn’t feel she is represented in the province, and wants to see more services tailored for seniors.
Ruth Bird echoed that statement, adding that health care and housing should be top of mind for the provincial government.
“Seniors are suffering from not having enough affordable housing,” Bird said, noting she would also like to see more services for seniors at home.
Bird has lived in Saskatchewan her entire life, and stressed the importance of voting.
“I make sure I vote, and I make sure my children and grandchildren vote,” she said. “We’re very privileged to be able to vote in this province.”
Bob Hoffman wants to see more investments made to address homelessness and addictions, noting climate change is also on the top of his list.
“(These) things are important to me as I get older, because I think about my kids and grandkids a lot more,” he said.
