A cyclist is dead after a crash in Saskatoon’s Westmount neighbourhood on Sunday evening, and police are working to determine her identity.
Officers were called to the scene at 22nd Street West and Avenue K North just before 9 p.m., where they found the female cyclist lying injured on the ground. She was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

“Upon further investigation, it is believed the vehicle was travelling in the far-right Westbound lane of 22nd Street West and the cyclist was travelling Eastbound in the Westbound lanes of 22nd Street West at the time of the collision,” the Saskatoon Police Service said in a statement.
“Police are still attempting to identify the deceased female in this collision and anyone with information that may assist is asked to contact police at 306-975-8300.”
Police did not say if the driver was detained or charged after the crash.
