Prince Albert RCMP responded to a shooting on Sturgeon Lake First Nation on July 8, 2024.
A man was shot and was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
RCMP said “Investigation determined two individuals approached a group of individuals who were walking in the community. An altercation occurred between them. A firearm was discharged.”
RCMP used a warrant for a residence on the First Nation where on July 14, two men aged 24 and 19 were arrested. According to officers they located and seized a semi-automatic firearm, ammunition and bear spray at the residence.
