On Wednesday evening Saskatchewan’s RCMP received a report of a missing canoeist who didn’t resurface after his canoe tipped on the lake north of North Battleford.
The Underwater Recovery Team located the teenager deceased in the water near the area where he was last seen.

In addition, an aerial drone, Unity RCMP and Glaslyn Fire and Rescue all assisted with the investigation.
RCMP says his family has been notified.
