Saskatoon police are asking for the public’s help as the 10th anniversary of an unsolved murder approaches.
In a media release Friday, police said officers responded on the evening of Aug. 19, 2013 to a call of an injured man in the 200 block of Avenue I North.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found 77-year-old James Favel suffering from head injuries. He died in hospital on Aug. 31, 2013.
An autopsy subsequently determined the head injuries led to Favel’s death.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have information on what happened to Favel on the night of Aug. 19, 2013 to call police at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
