An 85-year-old man from Foam Lake is dead after a crash that closed Highway 14 west of Saskatoon on Wednesday.
According to the RCMP, the crash happened at about 10 a.m., between Kinley and Perdue. The Mounties say a westbound pickup truck and an eastbound semi collided before a westbound SUV also hit the pickup.
The driver and lone occupant of the pickup was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The only person in the SUV was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the driver of the semi was assessed at the scene by EMS.
The Biggar RCMP is investigating the cause of the crash with the help of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
