A 31-year-old man from the Moosomin First Nation has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of another man from the community.
Wade Frenchman was arrested Monday in North Battleford. He’s slated to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on Wednesday.
On Sunday at around 5:45 a.m., officers from the Battlefords RCMP detachment got a call about the body of a man in an open outdoor area on the Moosomin First Nation.
Officers found the man, who was pronounced dead by paramedics. The Mounties determined the death was suspicious and Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes took over the investigation.
The victim subsequently was identified as 35-year-old Tyler Mooswa.
The RCMP release didn’t say how Mooswa died or what his connection was to Frenchman.
