It will be a different mode of transportation on the roadways in Saskatoon on Sunday.
The Saskatchewan Marathon gets underway and there will be a number of road closures because of it.
No parking signs and lane restrictions will be in place along the marathon route and Saskatoon police will be located at intersections along the route for safety.
Here is the list of restrictions during the Saskatchewan Marathon:
- Diefenbaker Park Road loop closed
- St. Henry Avenue road closed between Taylor Street and Diefenbaker Park
- Ruth Street road closed between Herman and St. Henry avenues
- Taylor Street road closed between St. Henry and Victoria avenues
- Victoria Avenue road and lane closures between Adelaide Street and Saskatchewan Crescent
- McPherson Avenue road closed between Taylor and Seventh streets
- Saskatchewan Crescent road and lane closures between Eastlake Avenue and Taylor Street
- Traffic Bridge road closed between Saskatchewan Crescent and 19th Street
- Spadina Crescent road closed between Power Road and Schuyler Street
- Spadina Crescent road and lane closures between Second Avenue and Pinehouse Drive
Saskatoon Transit routes may also be affected by the restrictions.
Road closures and detours will be in place from 5 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.
