A 33-year-old cyclist was killed Wednesday afternoon in a collision with a cement truck.
According to police, officers responded to the intersection of College Drive and Wiggins Avenue at 4 p.m. “after it was reported that a concrete truck struck a cyclist.” The cyclist, a 33-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Traffic in the area is restricted, police noted, as the scene is being investigated by the Collision Analyst Unit. Motorists and pedestrians were asked to avoid the area.
