A 27-year-old man was sent to hospital with serious injuries after he was hit by a car in Saskatoon early Wednesday, and a 23-year-old woman is facing an impaired driving charge.
Shortly before 2 a.m. police were called to a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at 22nd Street and Hart Road.
Westbound traffic on 22nd Street between Hart Road and Betts Avenue was restricted for several hours while a collision analyst was on scene, but police said the restrictions have since been lifted.
According to police, a 23-year-old woman – the only occupant of the vehicle involved in the crash – was arrested at the scene. She’s now facing a charge of impaired driving causing bodily harm, police said.
