Areas in central and southeast Saskatchewan were under a blanket of dense fog Tuesday morning.
Environment Canada issued a fog advisory for a large swath of the province, including Saskatoon and Regina. The advisories for Regina and southern Saskatchewan were lifted shortly after 1 p.m.
“Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero,” the weather agency warned on Tuesday. “If travelling, be prepared for areas of near-zero visibility.”
As of 8:30 a.m., the Highway Hotline was reporting poor visibility around Saskatoon, but had lifted the travel advisory along Highway 16 between Langham and Maymont.
The fog was expected to dissipate later Tuesday morning but may redevelop again overnight.
