Police in Saskatoon are investigating after a body was found in an alley early Wednesday afternoon.
The body was discovered by a passerby in an alley adjacent to 20th Street near Avenue C shortly before 1:30 p.m., police said.
While noting that few details are available at this early stage of the investigation, police confirmed officers are treating the death as suspicious.
“There will be a significant police presence in the area for the next few hours,” the police said in a media release. “More information will be released when it is available.”
Officers with the police service’s major crime and forensic identification sections are involved in the investigation, police said.
