After missing the National Lacrosse League (NLL) playoffs last season, the Saskatchewan Rush opened the season on a high note.
The Rush built a 6-0 lead on route 18-6 victory over the defending league champions, the Colorado Mammoth in front of over 7,000 fans on Saturday at SaskTel Centre.
Robert Church and Mark Matthews powered the offence for Saskatchewan combining for 6 goals and 16 assists while Alex Buque made 40 saves in net.
Saskatchewan will hit the road for their next game on Friday against the San Diego Seals.
