A 39-year-old man is dead and a 25-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter after an incident early Sunday.
According to the Saskatoon Police Service, officers were called just after 2 a.m., to the 400 block of Avenue Q South for a report that someone had been bear-sprayed.
When the officers arrived, they found a man who was badly hurt. He was taken by paramedics to Royal University Hospital, where he died.
The suspect was identified and arrested. Police said they don’t know if the men knew each other.
Police also didn’t provide any details about how a call about a bear-spray incident ended in a man’s death.
