The body of a 51-year-old man has been found and recovered from the Bradwell Reservoir near Saskatoon.
The RCMP said a canoe capsized at the reservoir last Thursday, leaving a five-year-old boy dead and the 51-year-old man missing.
The boy was pulled from the water by rescuers, and he was taken by STARS air ambulance to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
On Tuesday, the RCMP said the man’s body was located in the water by their Underwater Recovery Team. Police confirmed the body was that of the missing man.
“His family has been notified and our thoughts are with them,” the RCMP said in a statement.
Bradwell is about 50 kilometres southeast of Saskatoon.
