A semi carrying diesel fuel rolled Tuesday morning south of Meadow Lake, creating a detour that was more than 70 kilometres in length.
The Meadow Lake RCMP said it responded just after 11 a.m., to a report of a semi rollover on Highway 4, approximately 30 km south of the community.
The Mounties said the highway was closed, so traffic was being rerouted on Highway 304 south of Meadow Lake and on Highway 26 north of North Battleford. The RCMP said the detour was approximately 73 km in length.
Drivers were encouraged to check the Highway Hotline for updates.
The investigation into the crash is continuing. The RCMP release didn’t say if there were any injuries.
