A man is dead after an accident on Highway 1.
In a news release Friday night, Mounties said the 41-year-old from Manitoba was walking when he was hit by a vehicle.
It’s the same accident that caused road closures and detours to be set up on the Trans-Canada near Sintaluta, just west of Indian Head, on Friday morning.
The crash happened Thursday night, but his body wasn’t found until Friday.
Police have managed to identify the man but are still looking for his family to let them know.
They’re also asking for help finding more details about that night.
The man was wearing dark clothes, a red hoodie and a blue backpack. Anyone who saw him, alive or dead, from 8 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday is asked to give police a call.
