A 25-year-old woman has died in Saskatoon, nearly two months after she was stabbed.
The Saskatoon Police Service said Emily Sanche’s death resulted in a charge of second-degree murder against a 25-year-old man.
On Feb. 20, police were called at about 2:30 a.m., to a house in the 2700 block of Main Street East for a report of a stabbing.
The accused, whom police said knew the victim, previously had been charged with aggravated assault. The charge was upgraded after Sanche died.
The man is to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Tuesday.
