A 22-year-old man from Saskatoon is dead after a shooting on the Beardy’s and Okemasis’ Cree Nation.
In a media release Monday, the RCMP said it wouldn’t be releasing the man’s name.
The Mounties said officers from the Rosthern detachment got a call Sunday just before 6 p.m., about the shooting.
Officers found an injured man on a road in the community. They tried lifesaving efforts, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Saskatchewan RCMP’s Major Crime Unit is investigating, and anyone with information is asked to call their local RCMP detachment at 310-RCMP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
