The Meadow Lake RCMP has issued a warrant for a 36-year-old woman in relation to an investigation of serious assault, forcible confinement and mail theft.
On Saturday, police received a report of a woman in distress at a residence on Third Avenue West in Meadow Lake. Officers found an injured woman inside shortly after.
The investigation shows she had been threatened and assaulted by multiple people earlier that day before being forcibly confined. The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Further investigation of the residence found a large quantity of mail, leading to a search warrant. The mail is believed to be connected to ongoing investigations into break-ins to mailboxes in the city.
Brenda Partridge, who’s from Meadow Lake, is charged with aggravated assault, forcible confinement and possession of matter stolen from mail. She’s described as approximately 5-foot-8 and 169 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information on Partridge’s whereabouts or the identity of the other individuals involved is asked to call the Meadow Lake detachment or Crime Stoppers.
